All time Major League hits leader Pete Rose will be appearing in the  Theatrical two man production called ”4192-An Evening with Pete Rose Live.”   The production will take place April 1, 2013 at U.S. Bank Arena at 8:00 PM.

“4192-An Evening with Pete Rose Live” is a production of Sprocket Entertainment. The show will be touring 25 dates in 2013. The first date of the tour will be April 1st in the city of Cincinnati, Ohio where Pete Rose was born and raised.

The show marks the 50th anniversary of Pete’s first Major League season. Pete Rose broke Ty Cobb’s hit record of 4191 on September 11, 1985 with a single to left field off of San Diego Padres pitcher Eric Show. Rose played for the Reds for 17 years and was the manager of the Reds for 5 years.  He holds the record for most hits with 4256, was a 17 time All Star at 5 different positions, won the title of 1963 National League Rookie of the Year, 1973 Most Valuable Player in the National League, 1975 World Series MVP, and was 3 Time National League Batting Champion.

Producer J.T. Stewart, President of Sprocket Entertainment, states “This is an amazing show.  Pete is great and tells his story as only he can. What better way to celebrate opening day than with a Reds win followed by an evening with one of the greatest players of all time?”

The show has many visuals and hi tech audio, music and imagery created by nationally recognized creative producers ‘Planet Nashville’. The show is a journey which will take the audience through not only the playing career of Rose but into his life as a kid growing up and why he was so driven.  Rose shares with the audience stories of the Big Red Machine and conversations from the field. The show leads up to the game where Rose broke the hit record. “The Hit” is relived and Rose shares what was going through his mind as he stepped to the plate.
